Day 3 – Mendoza

Mendoza has excellent wineries but also an important olive oil industry. For that reason, this tour offers the perfect combination of both. We start by Don Manuel Villafañe Winery, focused on the production of grapes, harvested in small and exclusive vineyards.

We continue to an olive oil factory where we enjoy a tasting of oils and delicatessen products (olive paste, dehydrated tomatoes accompanied by homemade bread).

Our next stop is the Luigi Bosca Winery, which has remained in the hands of the founding family for four generations offering top of the range wines. Finally, we visit Altavista Winery, which is considered a historical heritage of Mendoza too, since it has not stopped functioning for over a century. It gives the chance to appreciate the coexistence of the old and the modern manufacturing techniques. We enjoy our lunch in the garden of the winery (weather permitting).

At the end, return to the city.

Day 4 – Mendoza
Day 4 – Mendoza

Today we visit the Uco Valley, with its wineries located at up to 1.500 MASL (4.920 ft.), height that provides wines of unique attributes. During the tour, we visit Salentein, Domaine Busquet and Andeluna wineries.

Salentein is a winery focused on quality, classic varietal plantations, preservation of old vines and reinsertion of European artisan techniques along with the use of advanced technology, which results in a variety of internationally accepted top of the range wines. In this winery, we visit the Killka Space too, an interesting array of Argentinian art.

We continue then to Domaine Bousquet, a winery that has kept its tradition of fine wines for four generations.

Finally, Andeluna, framed in an imposing landscape at the base of the Tupungato Volcano, is the ideal place to learn the special features of this region. Wine tasting is included at each visited winery, as well as lunch at one of them, paired with their own wines.
